After more than 16 years in the financial services industry, I decided to use my knowledge and experience and follow my passion to help others more directly. A vegetarian since the age of 14, I've been an advocate of conscious living for some time. However, even though I've been a vegetarian for most of my life, I haven't always been the healthiest eater - especially in my teens and early twenties.
Once I learned of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition I had this “where have you been all my life?!” epiphany about what I wanted to do for others and myself. Delving more deeply into holistic health seemed natural and an ideal way to help others, especially given the current health crisis that is creating so much inconvenience and pain. For nearly a year I commuted back and forth to NYC to attend the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as well as the Natural Kitchen Cooking School - two amazing programs.
Within a year I started Pure Potential Wellness, LLC and began supporting others to make positive lifestyle changes all while I was making them for myself too! My immune system was living proof – over 25 flights and a trip to India within a year and I had not gotten sick once, something that typically happened like clockwork after air travel. And I was off the sugar merry-go-round so prevalent for those who work in corporate settings. There really was something to eating whole foods after all!
Today's world is very different from the one our grandparents lived in. The soil is depleted, foods are not as nutritious, our diets contain less diversity, and disease rates are through the roof for illnesses that were almost nonexistent 100 years ago. As a society, many are overweight, undernourished, overstimulated and stressed out. Our foods contain unpronounceable ingredients that are invented in labs.
As a Certified Holistic Health Coach, I create a supportive environment that helps you cut through the clutter of overwhelming information about what you should do to be healthy and help you tune back into what your body is trying to tell you. I will enable you to articulate and achieve your goals. Our sessions are personalized to your individual needs. There is no "one size fits all" diet or lifestyle, and together we will explore what is best for you.
